Why this build
We built the Warthog to give shooters a 2011 that runs flat and smooth without the price of a full custom build. We start with the Tisas B9R double stack, a steel framed 2011 pattern 9mm, and put our work where it matters most on the range: a chunk port to keep the muzzle down, a crisp 3 lb trigger, a reduced and stippled grip, and a slide milled to our Warthog pattern. You get a gun that shoots like a custom 2011 and still leaves room in the budget for an optic and ammo.
What we did to it
Chunk porting. We cut ports near the muzzle so gas vents upward and pushes the front of the gun down as it fires. In our testing it cut muzzle flip by up to 30 percent. Results vary with ammo.
Warthog slide milling. We mill the slide to our Warthog pattern, then finish it in Black Nitride, which is hard, slick, and holds up to holster wear.
Barrel. Mirror polished DLC with a flush cut crown.
Trigger. An Infinity trigger set at 3 lb for a clean, consistent break.
Grip and texture. We reduce the grip, then stipple it in our Knock Out texture, our most aggressive pattern, for shooters who want all the grip they can get.
Finish. Multicam Black or Multicam Arid Cerakote, applied by BlownDeadLine. The controls are coated as well.
Optic ready. It keeps the factory Tisas cut for RMSc footprint optics. No plate needed. No optic included.

How buying works
Firearms ship only to a licensed dealer (FFL). At checkout, upload a copy of your dealer's license, or have them email it to sales@dangerclosearmament.com with your order number. Once we have it, we ship to them and send you tracking. You pick the gun up at the dealer and complete the transfer there. Local laws apply, so check yours before ordering.
Shipping
The 5 in models are on the shelf and ship within a few days of receiving your dealer's FFL. The 4.25 in models are on backorder. Those are made to order and take about 8 weeks.
